Why we picked it
The rubber stopper is the detail that matters: unlike the smash-to-open banks of his childhood it survives being emptied, so it becomes a permanent desk object rather than a one-use ornament. Hand-painted ceramic also gives it the weight of a real thing instead of a licensed plastic toy.
